Proud of you Jesse, I got tears in my eyes. For decades I suffered epilepsy, and subjected to non-therapeutic pharmaceuticals, and classified brain surgical experimentation, that had nothing to do with treating seizure disorder. When I discovered the anti-convulsant potential of cannabis, I was subjected to further misrepresentation, fraud, and every excuse to deny access to a life saving substance. This criminal government in Canada, left me no choice but to endure twenty years before the Ontario courts as to recognize marijuana for seizure disorder, and eventually strike down Canada's marijuana laws as unconstitutional, Dec. 10, 1997, and further upheld by the Ontario Court of Appeal July 31, 2000. Despite this constitutional ruling, it was sabotaged by the Canadian government, when implementing regulations that remain unconstitutional, when our medical profession discriminate against the cannabinoids. More screwed up, we now learn the needle and the damage done, is responsible for various seizures disorders. Prohibition seriously effed up my life, when it came education, employment, and social acceptance. I've been through what your wife has experienced, and it is nothing but inhumane, cruel, sadistic, immoral, and repugnant, and how those who suffer seizure disorder, are neglected, and exploited. Thing is boss, where is there transparency and accountability, when Nuremberg Code violations are imposed upon the neurologically disabled, while a plant such as marijuana is withheld, and denied to those in need? Which raises the need for a Marijuana Party, and get rid of the scum that are destroying lives. You are more than welcome to cite my case, to justify full legalization of cannabis, and end this criminal cover-up of classified human experimentation upon the neurological disabled. My heart goes out to you and your wife, when enduring the criminal transgressions imposed by our governments. Yours, Terry Parker Jr. http://www.ontariocourts.ca/decisions/2000/july/parker.htm
in 98 I was divorcing and to keep busy helped JEsse in his gubernatorial campaign. I got to know JEsse a bit more as I had seen him numerous times in south Minneapolis where we both come form. I cant tell you how impressed I was at his leadership and his abiltliy to help others. a one of a kind true... hero.
You are SO right & I thank you as well on this Governor. Born & raised in MN (& voted for you Gov) now living in NV for 15 years where medical then recreational MJ was legalized years ago. My medical doctors have recommended medical MJ to me over harmful prescription medication. I grunt when I see MN listed as a state with legalized medical MJ as it's really not. As you note, it is an extremely limited & expensive program inaccessible to the vast majority of people. Can only hope for the day people move out of the "war on drugs" & finally acknowledge the beneficial medicines that are not produced by Big Pharma. So saddened that it appears MN will be unlikely to consider this issue anytime in the near or even distant future. Wanna move home but... So thank you again for your efforts on this issue.
Marijuana for medicinal purposes is much different than for recreational purposes. I've heard too many stories about the damage young kids are doing to themselves because of use of marijuana for recreation.
Thank you Governor. God bless you and your family; and thank you for sharing this with us.
I broke the law sending weed to my sister and mom whom both needed it. I totally understand.

Sorry we missed meeting after I helped bring down Tom Petters Ponzi.
Thank you for your services!
I couldn't get the video to play, so I have no idea what it's about. Is there a fix for that? Thanks.
