Esteemed Governor Ventura. In doing some off handed analysis, I ask you this question. Do you believe that detonations of nukes by world powers have accelerated this effect? Underwater and above water aka Project Crossroads, Below and above ground aerial, low and high atmospheric detonations and even spacial detonations (remember when the magnetic Van Allen belts increased due to a nuke set off in orbit? These tings have never been addressed by the leaders of the world, I believe they are pushing the blame to us to cover their rears. Gov scientists have a nasty problem and habit. Lets do this and see what happens. In the Van Allen belts would have been ignited. These idiots would have said we didn't know - we didn't think. Therein lies the problem. They need to learn that they as a certain scientist said he was science, all variables should be examined. I am so sorry that the ranch hands and our Viet Nam vets suffered and died and still suffer due to science creating Agent Orange as well as the other rainbow defoliants. And for the Government for denying it for so long. Guess they thought it was politically expedient. They play we pay! You Rule, Sir!
You're SO right Gov!! And they just keep polluting the oceans (rivers, streams, lakes...) with never-ending toxic waste . Totally agree with other comments that our entire planet is so polluted from the decades of industrial & other waste, as you say, it will take decades if even possible to clean it up.
I will add here - likely to receive negative feedback - that the "green energy" plans & solutions to climate change are huge polluters. Solar, wind etc are net negative energy producers Do your homework everyone. Massive destruction of land, extreme water waste & toxic pollution just to mine the minerals for battery manufacturing. Wind turbines kill more marine life (pre & post installation) & are as - or more - toxic to manufacture than solar/battery materials. Add there is no way to recycle or dispose of either other than in the ocean or landfills. Just another huge money maker & extreme polluters for the corporate elites/government to claim "climate change" efforts. Baloney, all of it. There are plenty better ways to deal with our planet destruction. But no corporation, government (same thing) or anyone else will seek REAL "clean" alternatives.
in Maui the beaches outside the resorts are literally covered with plastic washed up by the tides, including fishing nets, bottles, and styrofoam of all sizes. The USN is the only agency with the resources to clean up ocean plastics - ask the President to order the USN to clean up the oceans!
